Welcome to the A.N.J.E.L. web site.
A Natural Journey toward Empowered Lives
(A.N.J.E.L.)
A.N.J.E.L. is an opportunity for families to utilize a group energy that can be tapped into when needed. This group provides assistance in finding solutions and support among one another and through the collective wisdom of others. You will make valuable connections with other families who are raising a child with a disability. You will gain direction or empower others.
A.N.J.E.L. is facilitated by Lisa and Jay Slattery, parents of a 8-year-old boy with Cerebral Palsy and his two brothers.
A.N.J.E.L. is open to anyone, parent or guardian, raising a child with any disabling condition, age 0-18 years old.
A.N.J.E.L. Group is held the third Tuesday of each month, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Check the Calendar page for dates.
A.N.J.E.L. Group meets at:
Campbell United Methodist Church
Family Life Center
1747 East Republic Road
Springfield Missouri, 65804
(417)881-2018
A.N.J.E.L. SIBS meets separately during the parent's meeting. There is a group for the younger siblings and a group for the older siblings. Through activities and talking, they too can make a connection with other siblings. Call Lisa or Jay, 882-4063, for your questions or to enroll your child/children.
All children are welcome. The children participate in special activities, have a snack and meet new friends while the parents attend their meeting. We ask that you call to let us know how many children (and ages) to expect in order to plan for adequate staff and activities.
Don't hesitate, call Lisa or Jay, 882 - 4063, with your questions about A.N.J.E.L. We would be glad to answer any questions!
